This course is reserved for registered attendees of Nutrition in Clinical Practice: A Comprehensive Course for Physicians and Healthcare Professionals who are ABIM diplomates seeking to claim ABIM MOC points.
This clinically oriented CME/MOC program held on May 31, 2025 was designed by the American Society for Nutrition in partnership with the National Board of Physician Nutrition Specialists to meet the needs of clinicians and educators invested in applying nutrition science in patient care.

Overall Outcome Objectives
Describe the evolving landscape of GLP-1 receptor agonist use, including considerations for their use in children, teens, and the elderly.
Optimize patient selection and medical management strategies for obesity with GLP-1 therapies.
Develop and apply tailored nutrition interventions to manage cardiovascular, renal, and metabolic disorders.
Address the unique and changing nutritional needs of cancer patients throughout the continuum of care, including during cachexia, chemotherapy, and survivorship.

Accreditation Statement
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the American Society for Nutrition (ASN). The American Society for Nutrition is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The ASN designates this live course activity for a maximum of 7.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Maintenance of Certification (MOC)
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 7.0 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
ABIM diplomates will be required to pass an evaluation component of comprehension questions with a score of 80% or higher to be awarded MOC points.
Physician participation information for individuals claiming ABIM MOC points will be shared with ABIM through ACCME PARS. Physician participation will be reported by August 31, 2025.
