Science in the Age of Social Media: Navigating Influencers and Using Social Media to Share Evidence-Based Science
Free to ASN Members!
Special Offer for non-members of ASN! Use coupon code N26FIFTY for half off through December 31!
Science communication is increasingly shaped by social media influencers and AI-generated content, creating new opportunities to expand reach and public engagement. This rapid sharing of information - often not based on evidence - can lead to public distrust of science, often with devastating consequences. This event will discuss personal and professional guardrails to maintain credibility and public trust, illustrating how professionals can navigate social media and AI responsibly, using personal stories and empathy to engage viewers, while effectively sharing evidence-based science.
Organized by ASN's Student Interest Group (SIG)
Originally presented at NUTRITION 2026, ASN's flagship meeting which was held July 25-28 in National Harbor, MD
