Free to all!

ASN is proud to introduce Fireside Chats with the ASN President, Dr. Sarah L. Booth, Director of the Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University (HNRCA) and Senior Scientist and Leader of the Vitamin K Team at the HNRCA. A series of Fireside Chats will feature Dr. Booth interviewing influential leaders in nutrition to spark additional multisector, interdisciplinary conversations and ideas that advance the field of nutrition science in innovative ways among audience participants.

The first Fireside Chat features Cathie Woteki, President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) member, Drew Bremer, Director of the NIH Office of Nutrition Research, and Pamela Starke-Reed, USDA ARS Deputy Administrator of Nutrition and Food Safety/Quality, as well as Dr. Booth, to discuss the recent PCAST report, “A Vision for Advancing Nutrition Science in the United States.” The panel focuses on one of the goals of the report, to enhance coordination of federal interagency efforts and actions to reduce the burden of diet-related chronic disease that will maintain momentum toward the President’s goal.
