In parallel to developing strategies to advance food system transformation in alignment with the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), improving capacities for emergency relief preparation and response among the countries and communities currently facing unprecedented climate change-related events is essential. However, the humanitarian sector faces significant challenges in mobilizing timely and adequate resources to respond effectively to crises. Flexible funding mechanisms are crucial to address this gap and enhance the resilience of vulnerable communities.

Join ASN's Climate/Environment, Health, Agriculture and Improved Nutrition (CHAIN) RIS as we hear from Lusungu Kamudoni, Senior Contingency Planning & Operations Officer at the African Risk Capacity (ARC) Group, who will dive deep into this topic.
