Beyond Academia

Join an expert panel of six early career nutrition researchers who hold careers outside of academia for this interactive, fireside chat webinar. Two representatives from three career options beyond academia (government, NGO/Health Associations, and industry) will take part in the panel. Speakers will briefly introduce their career path, share their motivations for a career outside of academia, and give advice on how to secure a career in their chosen career sector. This 60-minute panel includes three 15-minute sections devoted to each sector, during which the two representatives will give an informal 5-minute presentation, followed by 5 minutes of sector focused questions and answers between attendees and panelists. The final portion of the webinar includes 5-minute open forum with panelists.
