The American Society for Nutrition Foundation (ASNF) and the Novo Nordisk Foundation (NNF), two philanthropic 501(c)(3) organizations, have joined forces to launch this new award to celebrate excellence in nutrition science and provide critical support to researchers at pivotal stages of their careers.

The ASNF-NNF Flemming Quaade Award is named in honor of Flemming Quaade, a prominent Danish researcher and advocate for childhood obesity prevention.  This award recognizes innovative approaches to the prevention and management of childhood obesity, a growing public health challenge worldwide.  

Originally presented at NUTRITION 2025, ASN's flagship meeting which was held May 31 to June 3 in Orlando, FL.
